England star Declan Rice bursts into laughter after realising incredible Lamine Yamal stat ahead of Euro 2024 finals ¹ ² ³:


England midfielder Declan Rice laughed after realizing Lamine Yamal's age, who turned 17 yesterday and is the Barcelona youngster that fired Spain into the final of the Euros with a brilliant goal in the semi-finals against France.


When speaking about the Spanish phenomenon, Declan Rice laughed as he said: "As soon as we won the game [against the Netherlands] I saw a stat that he was 12 when Covid hit. So, that was pretty scary that he was 12-years-old when Covid was around so it shows how good he is."


Rice was referring to Yamal's achievements at Barcelona, saying that scoring a goal at 16 "is really, really special." He also referenced how, at 16, he was trying to get a scholarship, which is a stark contrast to the success Yamal is experiencing at such a young age.


This is not the first time that Yamal has been in the spotlight, as he made French player Adrien Rabiot look silly after the Frenchman had said: "If Lamine Yamal wants to play in the Euro final with Spain, he will have to do much more against us than he has done so far." After Spain's 2-1 win, Yamal wrote on social media saying: "Move in silence. Only speak when it is time to say checkmate." While he also shouted to TV cameras on the pitch: "Speak now, speak now!"
