Al Hilal, Neymar reach agreement to end contract

 

Neymar's time at Al Hilal has come to an end, with the Saudi Pro League club announcing that they've reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. This move paves the way for Neymar's highly anticipated return to his boyhood club, Santos, in Brazil.

Neymar's tenure at Al Hilal was marred by a series of setbacks, most notably a severe ACL injury that sidelined him for an extended period. As a result, he was limited to just seven appearances for the club, managing to score only a single goal. Nevertheless, Neymar's reputation as a football superstar endures, bolstered by his illustrious stints at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, where he consistently showcased his exceptional skills.

As for what's next, reports suggest that Neymar will sign a six-month contract with Santos, with the option to extend for another year. The move would see Neymar return to the club where he began his professional career, and where he won numerous titles, including the Copa Libertadores in 2011.
