EFCC officer found dead in Lagos

 

An official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was found dead on a street in Lagos State. The deceased, identified as Sylvanus, was dressed in traditional attire and had an identity card on him that confirmed his position at the EFCC.

A viral video showed the scene, with onlookers and police officers searching his belongings to identify him. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, but the EFCC has confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

This incident comes just two weeks after another EFCC officer, Aminu Salisu, was fatally shot by a suspected fraudster. The tragic loss of Sylvanus has raised further questions about the safety of EFCC operatives, particularly in the line of duty.
